Communications & Outreach Support Volunteer

Overview

Help spread the word and grow our community! As a Communications & Outreach Support Volunteer, you'll help share Super Heroines, Etc. programs, events, and opportunities with a wider audience. This behind-the-scenes role is perfect for someone who enjoys storytelling, social media, and connecting people to meaningful experiences.

Your work helps ensure more people discover inclusive gaming, leadership development, and advocacy opportunities.

• REQUIREMENTS

  TIME COMMITMENT

  2–4 hours per month (flexible)

  LOCATION

  Virtual

  PREREQUISITES

  Must complete our volunteer training module prior to running their first session with nerdy people or organizations.

  • Interest in communications, outreach, or marketing

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Comfortable using social media platforms

  • Interest in community-building and inclusive programming

  • Experience with Canva, social media scheduling, or newsletters helpful but not required

• RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft social media posts and program announcements

  • Help create newsletters or email updates

  • Assist with outreach to partners and community organizations

  • Support promotional campaigns for programs and events

  • Help track engagement and suggest improvements
