Roll for Representation Community Guide

Overview

Do you love tabletop RPGs and helping others grow? We’re looking for Community Guides to support participants in our Roll for Representation program. Community Guides help create welcoming, inclusive gaming spaces while encouraging new Game Masters as they build confidence and leadership skills.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring, fostering community, and supporting inclusive storytelling. Your support helps empower the next generation of game masters and community leaders.

• REQUIREMENTS

  TIME COMMITMENT

  2–4 hours per month (varies by session)

  LOCATION

  Remote or Virtual (with occasional in-person opportunities)

  PREREQUISITES

  Must complete our volunteer training module prior to running their first session with nerdy people or organizations.

  • Interest in tabletop RPGs

  • Supportive and encouraging communication style

  • Commitment to inclusive and welcoming spaces

  • Reliability and teamwork

  • GM experience helpful but not required

• RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help welcome participants and create a supportive environment

  • Assist Game Masters during sessions when needed

  • Encourage participants and help build confidence

  • Help foster inclusive and respectful table culture

  • Support facilitators with light logistics (timekeeping, transitions, etc.)

  • Model inclusive leadership and community-building practices
