Youth Advisory Board
The Super Heroines, Etc. Youth Advisory Board is where young fans become real-world heroes. This group of passionate youth leaders helps shape our programs, share new ideas, and ensure Super Heroines, Etc. continues building inclusive spaces where everyone belongs. Whether you're into comics, gaming, books, or fandom culture of all kinds, the Youth Advisory Board is your chance to use your voice, creativity, and leadership to make a difference.
Members gain leadership experience, collaborate with peers who share their interests, and help create programs that reflect the diverse stories and experiences of our community.
What is SHE’s Youth Advisory Board?
Think of the Youth Advisory Board as your party of advisors helping guide the future of Super Heroines, Etc. Youth Advisory Board members:
Share ideas for new programs and events
Provide feedback on current programs
Help plan and support activities and initiatives
Represent youth perspectives in decision-making
Advocate for inclusion, representation, and community-building
Collaborate with other youth who love fandom and storytelling
This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, strengthen your voice, and help create spaces where everyone can be the hero of their own story.

Who can join?
We welcome youth who:
Are passionate about fandom, storytelling, gaming, or pop culture
Care about inclusion, representation, and community
Want to share their ideas and make a difference
Are excited to collaborate with others
Recommended age range: 12-24
Commitment
Youth Advisory Board members are asked to:
Attend regular meetings (typically every other month)
Share ideas and provide feedback
Participate in at least 2 events or activities per year (or volunteer virtually)
Serve a term of approximately 1 year
We know life gets busy, and we aim to keep participation flexible and supportive while still empowering members to make a meaningful impact.
